Annaleah and Brian had something special -- Annaleah is sure of it. When they were together, they didn't need anyone else. It didn't matter that it was secret. All that mattered was what they shared.

And then, out of nowhere, Brian is killed in an accident. And while everyone else has their role in the grieving process, Annaleah finds herself living on the outside of it, unacknowledged and lonely. How can you recover from a loss no one will let you have?
I'm a sucker for emotional, poignant tales, so this one totally sounds like my kind of read. Don't get me wrong, I adore happy, light-hearted reads, too, but usually it's the stories that are all intensity and gravity that leave big imprints. I have a strong feeling this one will. Luckily, the release date's only a month away!

  1. Thanks for the shout out! I'll be doing a lot of blogging in the next month leading up to the release at and there'll be a photo contest announced in October at!

Looking fwd to seeing your review.

  2. Oh, an emotional book! I love those. They definitely have the power to convey a lot more than purely happy stories. Anyways, cool pick!

  3. Coming over from the hop.

This sounds a lot like THE SECRET YEAR, by Jennifer R. Hubbard -- have you read it? -- except with the roles reversed as this time it's the girl who gets left behind. I'd be interested to read it.
